A Little About Her
As a kid, she dreamt of being a non-stop globetrotter. Today, she’s got a degree in Sociology of Innovation and a background in communication. Every time she travels, she comes back with a suitcase full of nostalgia, an SD card about to burst, and a ton of new ideas. Struggling with social anxiety, like only a 29-year-old woman from Southern Italy in this particular historical moment can, she decided to channel all her energy into an ambitious entrepreneurial project back home (Down South Lab), driven by intuition and creativity. She’s drawn to challenges, even though she can’t really explain why.
What Photography Means to Her
She started taking photos almost by accident, and over time, realized that photography was the best way for her to express what she sees, feels, and thinks. Better late than never, right? The heart of her photography is in the spontaneity of capturing random moments in everyday life. When she manages to catch one, she feels really lucky, because she believes she’s giving value to pieces of real life that would otherwise go unnoticed.
Photography, Her Way
She believes photography can make people think. And if it manages to capture something real and genuine, even just for a moment, it can impact individuals and society. Sure, it won’t change the world, but maybe, just maybe, it will help people see things differently, slow down, ask questions, challenge their certainties, and pay attention to not just beauty, but also the uncomfortable truths. Downsouth Lab is her biggest creative experiment.
